BNP projects adverse impact of Tipaimukh Dam tomorrow



Main opposition BNP will hold a function tomorrow (Saturday) to unveil the data of possible adverse impacts on the ecology and public life in Bangladesh if India constructs their proposed Tipamukh Dam over common river Barak, reports UNB.

The function will be held at Hotel Sheraton at 4:00 pm. BNP chairperson and opposition leader Khaleda Zia will be present at the event as the chief guest.

According to the party leaders BNP has planned to launch programmes in a bigger way against the Indian government's move to construct the Dam. In the first phase, the former ruling party will build up public opinion against the gigantic Tipaimukh Dam project.

Saturday's function is part of the campaign for building up public opinion against the dam project
