Staff Reporter

Two different organisations in Sylhet submitted a memorandum to the visiting former Indian President Nuclear Scientist APJ Abdul Kalam yesterday requesting him to help cancellation of the construction of Tipaimukh dam by India on Borak River.

They submitted another memorandum to US Foreign Secretary Hillary Clinton through Foreign Ministry of Bangladesh yesterday.

The Sylhet Division Development Students Action Council (SDDSAC) and Sylhet Division Development Women Action Council (SDDWAC) jointly submitted the two memorandums to them.

The concerned officials of the ministry received the memorandums with assurance that the Ministry would send the memorandums as soon as possible.

Before submitting memorandum, they organised a meeting with red flag in front of the National Press Club.
